I have had a wonderful life! I have a beautiful daughter, Teresa who was in the past an Hawaiian Tropic Model for a couple of years. She is now married to a great husband, Wally. Also, I have 2 beautiful granddaughters, Lauren, 18 and Raina, 8 and also a grandson Ryco (pronounced "Reeko"), who is 3 years old.

I am now a brand new GREAT-GRANDMOTHER.....oh my gosh, where does the time go? My great-granddaughter was born last month.

Life has sure given me some twists and unexpected turns in life, but I turned every one of those obstacles into stepping stones and got up and above them! My first marriage for 12 years, was a disaster with an abusive husband that I thought I would never be able to get away from. But now, I'm married to a wonderful man that I prayed for before I ever even knew him, that God would put someone in my life that I could love as much as he could love me. God works in the most mysterious ways. I met my husband two weeks after I said that prayer. We have been together now for 18 years, and God has truly blessed every one of those days! God really does answer prayers!

I am now turning my attention to Court Reporting School. It surprises the heck out of me.....I barely got by in high school, and now, I am a 4.0 student. You're never too old to learn, remember that! I'm going to be a few years older anyway, I might as well have a degree to go along with that, right?

School Story:

It's embarrassing to say that I have very few memories of my high school days. So much has happened in my life, and those days are getting a bit fuzzy now!

In my senior year, I was pregnant (3 months on graduation day), and could hardly keep my eyes open during class and ran to the bathroom in between classes to throw up! My mind wasn't really focused on my studies like they should have been back then. I remember that I felt really sad on graduation day when I looked around at the students that had really applied themselves and they were graduating with honors. I felt that uneasy knot in my throat and wanted to cry. I truly regretted not studying more. That really made an impact on me. Education is truly only a gift that you can give to yourself. Now, as a student, I am top notch, a B is an insult. I HAVE to make straight A's, nothing else will do!

I have learned not to ever give up on your dreams. You can achieve ANYTHING that you set your mind to do. Don't ever settle for anything less!

So sorry to hear about the loss of Jim Cotterell.  I just remembered that he was always there for everyone.  Such a great spirit, attitude.  He always took the time to talk, no matter how busy he was.  He was truly concerned about each one of us.  God Bless him!  Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family!

Michael Leggett worked at McRee Ford Dealership in Dickinson with me a few months ago.  I had no idea (sorry to say, I didn't remember him from high school), that he had gone to Westchester.  I heard a few days ago that he had been found dead in his apartment by a few of his neighbors.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family!
